This "authentic Calabria-inspired kitchen" in Liberty Village is serving rustic, homestyle dishes.
p.s. They’re only open during the day from 8:30am until 6pm at the moment.

This chocolate mecca from Montreal has landed its first Toronto location in the Distillery district.
With a menu offering crepes and waffles covered in chocolate and thick, rich hot chocolate as an ideal cold day accompaniment, this might be the first holiday where you decide that box of chocolates from the drugstore is just "meh"
Kasai Grill House
650 College St.
With sushi, BBQ and izakaya on the menu, you’ve got a lot of choices to make.
Maker Pizza
59 Cameron St.
Apparently Chef Matty Matheson of Parts & Labour, P&L Burger and Dog and Bear, created the menu. 'Nuff said.
Pegrolls

If only spring rolls came with a pierogi filling...
They have now thanks to new Pegrolls! Available fresh and frozen in three flavours (Potato & Cheese; Mushroom, Potato & Cheese; and Jalapeno, Potato & Cheese), they’re made with all natural ingredients and no added preservatives.
Quantum Coffee

This new modern, spacious coffee shop arrived just this weekend. Located right at the corner of King and Spadina, you can now be fully caffeinated by the time you reach work/home/the shops.
Royale’s Luncheonette

Sandwiches, salads and soups can be oh-so boring. But not here.
With a frequently rotating menu, you’ll find enticing dishes such as Carrot Lemongrass Soup ($6) with sourleaf, the first ever Side Wedge Salad ($4.50) and dreamy mains of Mahi Mahi ($14) with celery root puree, garlic chips, sautéed purple kale and pickled radish; and Chicken Schnitzel ($13) with roasted cauliflower puree and oyster mushroom gravy.

The Toronto Christmas Market continues in the Distillery, complete with beer gardens and food and drink vendors. It goes until Dec 20th.
On Sunday night, head to Supper With Syria at Artscape WychwoodBarns . The community dinner and fundraising event is in support of Syrian refugees and will feature four Syrian Chefs and four non-Syrian local chefs, according to the organizers.
You’ve got until this Wednesday to partake in Canada’s first citywide rum event, Run For the Rum. Try up to 30 signature cocktails and participate in ongoing interactive contests, including the chance to win the grand prize - Trip for Two to Nicaragua to enjoy a complete rum distillery and regional tour, courtesy of Flor de Cana Rum.
