Celebrate Second Harvest Hero Day – Feb 5

Dine out and do good. On February 5, in celebration of Second Harvest Hero Dayparticipating Toronto cafes and restaurants are donating a portion of their sales to Second Harvest.

Funds raised allow Second Harvest to rescue perfectly good food that would otherwise go to waste, and share it with community agencies throughout Toronto. It is then distributed to children, adults and seniors in need. Every day, Second Harvest rescues and delivers "enough food to provide 20,000 meals. Since 1985 it has rescued and delivered more than 90 million pounds of good food."
