April is a record breaker - 17 openings this week alone, brings the total to 43 for the month - with still more than a week to go. I told you it was going to be busy. Presenting this week’s weird, wild and wonderful options.

Introducing Chef Doug Penfold’s newest destination (Chabrol, Cava) French-Moroccan spot, Atlas Restaurant at the corner of Avenue Road and Dupont (18 Dupont St.). What to expect? A complete stunner, boasting aromatic fare such as Amlou of Almond & Argan Oil ($10), Sardine Kefta with Ras El Hanout & Celery ($10), Vadouvan Trout ($29) with escarole & Jerusalem artichoke purée, and Tagine of Roasted Goat ($35) with okra, chickpeas & squash. Stay tuned.

Restaurant, sports and karaoke bar hybrid Bikini in Manila (361 Wilson Ave.), just launched in Wilson Heights.

Scarborough’s newest spot to get your caffeine fix: BlackGold Café (2101 Brimley Rd.). Grand opening to follow on May 6.

The Dundas General (1243 Dundas St. W.) - a “modern, urban evolution of the beloved general store” kicks off Wednesday in Little Portugal.

El Mariachi Tacos and Churros in Mississauga (233 Queen St. S).has got your taco and churro cravings covered. Doors open Saturday.

Load up on noodle pull pics at downtown’s GB Hand-Pulled Noodles (66 Edward St.).

Hellenic eats are the focus at George’s Greek Grill (622 Bloor St.) in Mississauga.

Psst. Can you keep a secret? Walk through the door with a green light box in the Barber & Co. barbershop to get to the new Gift Shop (89 Ossington Ave.), a “cocktail den full of strange splendours,” with a barman known only as “H.”

Navayo Greek Bistro  (2258 Kingston Rd.) opens in Scarborough today.

Head to Oak Island (121 Ossington Ave.) a pharmacy and soda fountain, for craft cocktails, handmade sodas, snacks, “remedies and cures.”

Pizzano Pizza and Wings second Mississauga location (900 Rathburn Rd. W.) features their signature ‘zas including Butter Chicken and Meat Monster.

Get Jager and JD Tennessee Honey Party Shots for $2.43 “all day every day” at Prohibition Gastrohouse Midtown's second location (40 Eglinton Ave. E.).

Greenwood residents have a new option for Thai, thanks to Sala Modern Thai Kitchen (1262 Danforth Ave.).

Dig into Kimchi Pancakes and Pork Bone Soup at Seoulicious (590 Yonge St.), just steps from Wellesley.

Looking for more plant-based options? Kensington Market’s Sweet Hart Kitchen (68 Wales Ave.) makes 100 per cent plant-based fare using healthy ingredients and natural sweeteners.

Twins Grill & Bakery (296-A Gerrard Ave.) specializes in rotisserie chicken to-go.

Whole Foods Market Leaside (1860 Bayview Ave.) opens on Wednesday. Be one of the first 500 customers on opening day and receive a gift card.

That’s a wrap on Queen West stalwart The Beaconsfield (1154 Queen St. W.).

The Annex’s Flaming Bull (378 Bloor St. W.) is papered up.
