Open/Closed: week of July 13-19, 2017

With so many people away on vacation, you’d expect it to be slow this week. These 13 new spots prove otherwise.

Here’s the very latest:

OPEN

Copetin (107 King St. E.), the latest venture from chef Claudio Aprile, officially opens today.

The Liberty Village location of Garden Gangsters (171 East Liberty Street, unit 127A) opened this weekend, so go get your hydrators, shots, probiotics and nut milks already.

Last week, Godspeed Brewery (242 Coxwell Ave.) threw open the doors of their retail shop with three brews. On Friday, they debuted their new pub/restaurant. Stay tuned for a closer look.

Get yourself to the Greek, just south of the Danforth, at Gyro Bar! Souvlaki Kitchen (731 Broadview Ave.).

Koek Koek Food Co. (2685 Yonge St.) has got you covered from morning (breakfast, protein toasts) to night (cocktails, bar snacks). Doors opened Monday.

North Poke is popping up in Sak’s Foodhall by Pusateri’s (176 Yonge St.) for the next few months.

Oh My Gyro (155 John St.) specializes in gyro (obsv), souvlaki (of course), and falafel (surprise!).

Traditional pho, bun (vermicelli) and grilled items are on offer at Pho East (610 Gerrard St. E.).

If you love sports (HDTVs galore), wings (there are 40 varieties) and beer (40 on draft), head to The Pint (277 Front St. W.).

The Simple Craft Company (152 Main St.) carries “a carefully curated selection of local crafts, baked goods,” including fresh sourdough from St John’s Bakery, Brennan’s Irish Sausages, as well as a host of other items including ghee, kimchi and hot sauces.

Hot and iced coffees, as well as kombucha to stay or go, can be found inside Surf the Greats (276 Carlaw Ave., Unit 215), a new surf shop in Leslieville.

Hotel Le Germain Toronto’s Victor Restaurant & Café Victor (30 Mercer St.) reopen today after lengthy renovations. Grand opening is set to take place in September.

Did you get the chance to say adiós to Mexico Lindo (467 Danforth Ave.) before doors closed?

Butcher counter/resto combo Royal Meats Bar/Beque (88 Fort York Dr.) in CityPlace has shuttered. The Etobicoke location (710 Kipling Ave.) remains open.

Saturday Dinette (807 Gerrard St. E.) has closed shop. Find co-owner/head chef Suzanne Barr as Chef in Residence at The Gladstone Hotel from July 11 to September 28.

Tinto Bar de Tapas (1581 Bayview Ave.) is no more.
