OPENINGS

Alchemy Food & Drink (890 College St.) officially opens tomorrow at 5 pm, featuring dinner, drinks, live music and patio.

Port Credit just got its own Bobby’s Hideaway (398 Lakeshore Rd. E.).

The Broadview Hotel (106 Broadview Ave.) in all its splendour, has opened, albeit very quietly. Whether you’re on the rooftop terrace overlooking the city, or cozied up in the main level café/bar, you’re never going to want to leave. The soft opening takes place Thursday, July 27th, with a grand opening to follow. Stay tuned for The Reveal soon.

Heading to the Commerce Court in the Path for lunch? Dig into 100 per cent plant-based power food by Montreal’s Copper Branch (199 Bay St.). Choose healthy vegan fare such as avocado toast, power bowls, salads and burgers on organic kamut buns, collard green wrap or organic spelt wrap.

Etocioke’s The Fix + Co. is popping-up alongside balance by prettysweet at 848 King St. W.  Monday July 24 to Thursday July 27 from 11 am to 7 pm, with other dates to follow.

Goose Island Brewhouse (58 The Esplanade) opens Monday. I’ll have a closer look for you soon.

Head to Guschlbauer Toronto (690 Yonge St.) for Austrian baked goods including matcha flavoured cream puffs and strawberry cheese buns.

Ready for the next ice cream craze? Say hello to liquid nitrogen ice cream. First up, Lab Sense(526 Yonge St.) with Matcha, Sea Salt Caramel, Strawberry Cheese, Tiramisu, Triple Chocolate, and Yuzu Orange Greek.

Mercat Wine Bar (920 Queen St. W.), sister business to Carmen (922 Queen St. W.), now serves daily tapas and pintxos specials alongside imported Spanish wines. Hello summer!

In need of a caffeine fix? Walk-up espresso bar, The Nugget (761 Dundas St. W.) has got you covered seven days a week, 7 am to 7 pm.

Pepper Blaster, Sesame Lover, and Summer Chill are just some of the oodles of noodles available at new Panpan Noodle Bar (23 Baldwin St,, 2nd Floor).

Get Pukka to go at Pusateri’s at Bayview Village (2901 Bayview Ave.).

Inside Kensington Market’s 4Life Natural Foods (210 Augusta Ave.), you’ll find Rice Bar’s organic grain bowls and salads.

Skippa (379 Harbord St.) is now serving up seasonal Japanese fare for dinner. Stay tuned.

The menu at Sugo Café (1281 Bloor St. W.) features a  Veal Sandwich ($12), Rigatoni ($9) and Meatball ($6), all smothered tomato sauce.

Coffee and art come together at Zav Coffee Shop & Gallery (2048 Danforth Ave.).

Giro dItalia – Toronto Italian Restaurant Week,  takes place July 20 to 30, with 16 of Toronto’s top Italian restaurants celebrating 16 different regions in Italy, with pre-fixe lunch ($29) and dinner ($49) menus.

Shut down after a video went viral online of mice eating sweets in Meli Baklava & Chocolate Bar, the entire Queen Live Fresh Food Market (238 Queen St. W.) has reopened.

The LCBO has launched growlers at two Toronto locations.
