Eastside folks will be particularly excited by this week’s bustling list of 14 new spots, thanks to an influx of shops and restos that landed in Leslieville this week.  

Here’s the very latest:

OPEN

North York’s Aburi Room (16 Park Home Ave.) is offering – wait for it - Omakase To Go! Other options include: a tasting menu, sushi, and limited availability items.

Core Restaurant (896 Queen St. E.) opens today in Leslieville, with Chef de Cuisine Lewis Robinson (Omaw, O&B, and in NY – Daniel, Eleven Madison Park) at the stove. Stay tuned.

El Chapo (36 Toronto St.) opened yesterday. On the menu, coffee, pastries, and tacos.

Feed your face at El Charro Mexican Street Food (788 Broadview Ave.), conveniently located across the street from Broadview subway station.

Frankie’s Italian (892 Queen St. E.), formerly Lil’ Baci, opens tomorrow by the same owner.

Head to the grand opening of GoGo Chicken Pot (10610 Bayview Ave., Unit 2-3) in Richmond Hill on Monday for authentic Hong Kong chicken hotpot, a spicy and savoury dish featuring red onions, white mushrooms, and parsley.

Speaking of hot pot - buy one, get one free during J’adore Hot Pot’s grand opening in Markham (8380 Kennedy Rd.).

People’s Pint Brewing Company in the Junction (90 Cawthra Ave.) celebrates their grand opening starting at noon tomorrow and going all weekend long. Choose from 12 brews on tap, and stock up on cans, crowlers and bottles in the bottle shop.

Choose from a variety of made-from-scratch pies at Queen City Pizza (1056 Queen St. E.) including classics (Tomato Basil Bocconcini, Quattro Formaggi, Meat Lovers), pesto, cream, and white selections.

Local butcher shop Sanagan's Meat Locker (1513 Gerrard St. E.) comes east, with a spot right at Gerrard and Coxwell.

Snow Lava (413 Spadina Ave.) features a variety of Sulbing - Korean milk shaved ice dessert ($8.99-$11.99), Cheese drinks in strawberry or mango ($6.99), and Fish Waffles (1 pc/$2.35, 2 pcs/$2.99).

Love sushi burritos, poké, et al.? Get your fix at Su & Bu’s newest location at Square One in Mississauga (100 City Centre Dr.).

Specialty snacks, a variety of Japanese soft drinks, teas, and canned coffees, as well as housemade warabi matcha mochi and puddings (houjicha, matcha, milk tea, black sesame, and strawberry) are just a few reasons to head to Sukoshi Mart’s (160 Baldwin St.) grand opening on Tuesday.
