There are so many new restaurants and events this week, you’re going to need another long weekend to fit it all in.

Here’s the very latest:

OPEN

Tonight marks the soft opening of Aviary BrewPub (484A Front St. E.). Doors open at 5pm.

Israeli chain Cafe Landwer (165 University Ave.) has landed in the downtown core, serving breakfast and lunch - with dinner service soon to follow.

Get a custom cinnamon roll for only $1 at tomorrow’s grand opening of Cinnaholic at Thornhill’s Promenade Mall (1 Promenade Circle) from 10am-2pm.

The Commoner Restaurant launches Saturday in Roncesvalles Village ( (2067 Dundas St. W.)

Corso Italia’s Flavours of Sheba (1310 St.Clair Ave. W.) specializes in authentic African fare.

Find new sushi haunt Jugemu (193 Carlton St.) nestled under Zakkushi in Cabbagetown.

Beach dwellers have one more option for iced treats with the arrival of Lick It Gelato’s second location (1934 Queen St. E.).

“Toronto's first indoor bocce golf course bar/restaurant” LOB Toronto (100 Broadview Ave.) opens “softly” to the public tomorrow.

Quetzal (419 College St.), specializing in “food from the diverse flavours and customs of Mexico,” opened yesterday.

Sportsnet Grill, a 220-seat restaurant with views of Roger Centre’s stadium, opened yesterday. It replaces Arriba inside the Marriott City Centre Hotel (1 Blue Jays Way).

Beaconsville will be home to handmade dumplings starting Wednesday, when Steambox Dumplings (1255 Dundas St. W.) opens.

Za Pizza Bistro (9370 Bathurst St., Unit 9300) celebrated their Vaughangrand opening yesterday. More locations are set to open soon.

CLOSED

Beaches Bakeshop & Cafe (900 Kingston Road.), home of one of the city’s best kanelbulle and other Swedish goodies, has shuttered after 12 years.

While Carisma’s current location (73 King St. E.)  is no more, their new venue around the corner (15 Toronto St.) is set to open this fall.

Lady Marmalade (898 Queen St. E.), known for its brunch and lineups, will close their doors August 15th. Don’t panic though – they’re reopening just blocks away (265 Broadview Ave.) at the end of August. Stay tuned for a closer look.

The large expanse that was Lone Star Texas Grill (212 King St. W.) is no more.

A notice is posted on the door of Fishmonger M.W.M. Fish Co. (419 Parliament St.).

Ouzeri (500A Danforth Ave.) has been boarded up.

EVENTS

Today is the launch of Grace International Jerk Food & Music Festival, in Etobicoke’s Centennial Park. 

Starting tomorrow, Taste of the Danforth takes over Greektown for a weekend filled with food, festivities and celebrations.

The Feast of St. Lawrence Festival returns tomorrow and goes all weekend long.

Close to 40 Toronto restaurants are participating in this year’s Estrella Damm Tapas Journey, launching tomorrow.

“Rosé-all-day” becomes a reality at The Rosé Picnic this Saturday.

“Canada’s largest sweets festival” Sweetery is happening Saturday and Sunday at David Pecaut Square.

Roundhouse Craft Beer and Food Trucks Festival combines your two favourite things this weekend.

Head to the Drake One Fifty every Tuesday in August for Twilight Tuesdays.

Tuck into delicious Ethiopian & Eritrean fare at this weekend’s Ethiopian & Eritrean Peace Festival in East Lynn Park (Danforth & Woodbine Ave.) this weekend.

Cask Days may not be here quite yet, but you can purchase tickets online.
